T-Hunter F3Res Competition glider/electric
NOTE: In Stock Now and selling fast
This is an all balsa and basswood competition glider for the F3RES (Rudder Elevator Spoiler) class. The design is by Horacio Levit and is intended to be relatively easy to build and very easy to fly while also delivering performance via its AG series airfoils (Dr. Mark Drela’s proven airfoils). This class of glider is gaining popularity for fun casual contests with an emphasis on fun and the satisfaction of "flying something I made myself”. The glider is supposed to be launched using a bungee but can also be adapted to electric (parts to build electric version included in kit) or flown off a slope. This short kit contains all of the sheet balsa and ply components and spars required to build a T-hunter as well as a set of full size plans. The kit also includes form jigs for checking the leading edge shape and jigs for setting the V-tail and wing alignment. Lastly the kit will come with unshaped wood for the leading and trailing edges and a set of laser cut basswood spars. Wing mounting, pushrod and tow hook hardware are included. This newest version of the T-Hunter includes the parts and markings required to build an electric T-Hunter. If you opt for an electric conversion then you will need to purchase the powertrain. The kit was developed around the AEO RC MM1914-1100 / ADH300L electric motor but any similar small motor will work. You can buy the kit with the electric motor and esc included. All you will need to add is a 30-32 mm spinner with 3 mm collet and folding prop (I use GM 10x6 blades).
You can also buy the motor+esc combo as a separate item.
