This is a balsa with carbon tube-spar and carbon fuselage boom competition glider for the F3RES (Rudder Elevator Spoiler) class. The design is by R Birol Oner of Turkey and is intended to be relatively easy to build and very easy to fly lighter and high- performance version of the standard Rookie. It uses P. Kolb PK-FB 31-32 airfoils (equivalent to the AG series airfoils by Dr. Mark Drela). The Rookie Lt has a strong competition pedigree in SE Europe with many built and flown in competitions. This class of glider is gaining popularity for fun casual contests with an emphasis on fun and the satisfaction of "flying something I made myself”. The glider is supposed to be launched using a bungee but can also be adapted to electric or flown off a slope. This short kit contains all of the sheet balsa and ply components and Carbon tube spars required to build a Rookie as well as a set of full size plans. The kit also includes a carbon boom and carbon leading edge. Lastly the kit will come with unshaped wood for the trailing edges. The price for the Rookie Lt is higher because the carbon components are more costly.

Hardware for wing joining (5mm high modulus carbon joiner and 3D printed joiner insets)/mounting(mounting bolts and nuts) and tow hook assembly are included. Customer supplies covering material of choice and RC gear.
