Lacey M13 NOCAL kit
Lacey M13 NOCAL kit
This is a kit that is based on my plan for the NoCal Lacey M13. The original and famous Lacey M10 was sold and rebuilt into the Lacey M13 by its new owner in colorado. This plan is based on my drawings which were aided by some initial work by George Bredehoft and a large number of photos from Don DeLoach.
NoCal (No Calories) kits like this one are super simple to build and go together in about an hour. Once assembled you spray the framework with a light coat of spray mount glue and then attach the tissue paper to the frame. Last step is to assemble the airplane and then you are ready for flight trials. These are best flown indoors or in VERY calm outdoor weather. They are rubber powered and the rubber motor can be would using a finger (slow) or a winder which uses a 5-1 gear ratio to wind the rubber fast.
The kit includes a plan with instructions, two sheets of laser cut parts to assemble the framework, printed Japanese tissue to cover the framework, a moulded balsa propeller, rubber, and the propeller hooks to hold the rubber and drive the propeller.
The kit comes as a full kit with all the tissue, wood and hardware to build the Lacey M13. Or you can buy just the laser cut balsa with plan and add the propeller tissue and hardware yourself.
