I designed this model for Flying Aces Club Pseudo Dime Scale competition and sport flying. The design is based on my larger 20” and 24” kits for this design but is significantly simplified to meet the design ethos for the dime scale class. This kit contains over 100 laser cut parts on several sheets of contest balsa as well as a sheet of 1/64 ply parts. The kit includes all sheet wood parts to make the airframe, nose block, nose plug, spinner and wheels and a vac formed canopy. It also includes gusseted and slotted wing trailing edges, pre-cut fuselage fin and stab crosspieces and and includes all of the parts required for you to make either the Sk3 or the Sk4 variants of the Folkerts (the fin and stab and the chin of the SK4 are different from the sk3 but the wings are identical) . The front end parts accommodate Gizmo Geezer, or K&P adjustable thrust buttons. The builder supplies hardware for front end, undercarriage (if desired) and Dt mechanism (if desired)). The kit will also include a paper pilot, paper trim details, and an instrument panel.

i have three purchase options available to make ordering a bit easier:

1. Basic kit with tissue cal - The kit as described above but including a sheet of tissue-cals which have all of the complex Sk3 art as well as the much simpler Sk4 art. You cover the model in plain white or cream tissue and then cut out and dope the tissue cal art onto your model. (cheaper but for skilled and experienced builders).

2. Basic kit with full tissue - The kit as described above but including the full preprinted tissue set (all the tissue required to cover the model with are already printed on it - see photos of Oliver Sand’s rendition in this listing) - more expensive but easier and quicker.

3. Long kit - Same as #2 above and includes a 7” plastic prop and a gizmo thrust button.
