This is basically the same electronics as the regular bandburner timer but with the addition of a built-in charger with USB charging jack and an optional remote start switch. This timer has a hardwired battery so you do not need to unplug batteries for charging etc. you can simply plug a common micro-usb cable into the timer to charge it from any 5V USB power source (see video here). You can opt for an RDT jack (go here to see Ken Bauer’s RDT systems or here to see Leo Bodner’s systems) which will allow you to connect your RDT unit into the timer and activate the DT function at any time. You don’t even have to wake the timer up or press the start button etc. All you have to do is plug the timer into the RDT and have a charged timer. You can then DT your model at any time. Otherwise timer programming is the same as for the regular band burner tiny timer. BATTERY INCLUDED, you do not need to purchase batteries separately.

Lastly, you can opt for a remote start switch so that the timer can be started in a more convenient way. I offer two types: A standard push button timer that you can locate at a convenient place on the model, and a magnetic reed switch. The magnetic reed switch is activated by a small magnet (any small strong magnet will work) and allows you to start the timer by simply applying the magnet for 3 seconds and then pulling it away. This is useful for applications where it is inconvenient to press a button on launch (e.g. tow line glider). If you choose a remote switch you must select the length of the cable based on where you want the start button relative to the timer location. A form will pop up when you place your order.
