Gilroy's Bobcat A2 towline glider

Gilroy's Bobcat A2 towline glider

from $50.00

This is a short kit for the a 1955 towline glider. This particular design came second to Rudi Lindner’s ship in 1955 A2 championships and should be a great flyer. You can buy this as a standard short kit which comes with all of the sheet parts including trailing edges and fuselage boom as well as plywood parts and some 3D printed components for the fuselage pod (nose and rear pod), ballast box and tow hook assembly (you supply hardware - wire, screws and lines). In terms of wood you supply spars and leading edges, and you also supply your own tissue. The deluxe kit includes everything from the standard kit as well as rough finish spruce spars that have been cut at a bias on a bandsaw (the spars have tapered cross-sections), and an all in one (AIO) band burner timer, with magnetic reed switch that starts the timer when the towline drops away. Lastly, the Bare bones short kit includes only the wing and stab ribs, wing tips, plan, and fuselage pod formers and sheeting and tow hook/ballast box 3D printed assembly. Does not include boom, leading and trailing edges, spars, any hardware, nose or aft pod.
