Bruce Kimball's Hoosier Kitty 18" cat glider

Bruce Kimball's Hoosier Kitty 18" cat glider

from $40.00

This is a kit for Bruce Kimball’s Hoosier kitty glider. It uses my standard large fuselage and boom combination (instruction booklet for download here) and comes with the flight surface wood and plan as well as hardware.

Kit available in Standard and Deluxe:

The standard kit contains contest balsa and ply parts for the fuselage and flight surfaces and an ultra light carbon boom.

The wing comes in five pieces (1/16 bass leading edge, 1/8th” balsa leading edge section, 3/16” balsa wing core, and 1/8th “ trailing edge half and 1/16 trailing edge) and has the dihedral joint lines perforated and the high point marked with tiny perforations and a line). The wing mount is cut from tapered 3 mm ply with wing position and CG position marked.

The stab and fin will be 1/16 contest balsa. Laser cut with a key notch in the stab for the fin to mate into ensuring the correct amount of offset.

Deluxe Kit will include the following extra tools to be assembled from laser cut parts provided:

  1. 8.5 degree dihedral angle sanding block.

  2. Stab tilt gauge

  3. CG stand that mates to CG pin holes in wing.

  4. Airfoil shape gauges (one for top and one for philips entry).

  5. Fuselage alignment jig (to help you to get the boom accurately mated to the fuselage pod)

NOTE: if you have already purchased a deluxe kit the jigs will work for your other kits.
